Dr. Uma is a dedicated health advocate with a strong passion for delivering holistic care to her patients. With a wealth of experience in both public hospitals and private practice, she brings a diverse skill set spanning general medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, gynecology, paediatrics, dermatology, and psychiatry. This broad background allows her to deeply understand the multifaceted nature of general practice and cater to each patient’s unique needs. As a mother of two, Dr. Uma’s personal experiences have further fueled her passion for Women’s Health and Paediatrics. Additionally, her journey caring for a loved one with Autism Spectrum Disorder has strengthened her empathy and deepened her ability to support families, helping them regain confidence and feel empowered. Dr. Uma is committed to the holistic well-being of her patients, recognizing the importance of mental health and a balanced lifestyle. She focuses on providing individualized care, guiding her patients toward achieving their health goals. Driven by a love for learning, she stays current with the latest medical advancements to ensure the best possible care. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Uma enjoys playing badminton, experimenting with new recipes, and cherishing quality time with family and friends.

Fees

TOTAL AMOUNT IS PAYABLE ON THE DAY OF CONSULTATION

  Bulk Bill patients that are:

  • Children 0 – 16 years with a VALID Medicare Card
  • Current Pension Concession / Health Care Card holders
  • Veterans Affairs Card holders

All other consultations will incur an out-of-pocket fee.

Payments are made by EFTPOS.  If you pay with a Credit Card, the Medicare rebate will be submitted to Medicare to be processed and may take up to 48hrs to reflect into your bank account.

REMINDER:

The consultation times are specific related times, so please book appropriate longer consultations if required, to be fair to other patients.

Patients who are late to their consultations will likely not be seen if the doctor is running behind.

TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS:
A fee will apply for all telehealth consultations. Patients with a Medicare card will be eligible for a Medicare Rebate, if they have attended the practice in person in the last 12 months (Medicare regulations).

Payment will be collected post to the consultation, via a secure payment request sent from HotDoc, or over the phone. Medicare rebates will be processed online for you.

PROCEDURES:

All procedures will attract an out-of-pocket fee REGARDLESS OF CONCESSION STATUS including but not limited to the following items: Cervical Screening, Implanon Insertion and Removal, Mirena Removals, Iron Infusions.  Your doctor will explain any additional fees to you and obtain your consent prior to receiving treatment.

NON-ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Please note that a Non-Attendance Fee is payable if a patient does not attend their appointment or cancel prior to 2 hours of their appointment time.  Patients WILL be charged an out-of-pocket fee of

$30 Monday to Saturday and $40 on Sundays.  

This policy is in place to stop any persistent misuse of the service.

TAC & WORKCOVER:

Patients will be billed directly as per TAC / WorkCover Fee Schedules.  Total amount payable must be paid on same day of consultation.  Patients can use their invoice to reclaim the funds from their relevant authority.

The practitioner doesn’t accept patients with an existing Workcover/TAC claims.

MEDICALS:

Medical Assessments and all other reports will be billed directly to the patient and payable on the day of consultation.

TRANSFER OF MEDICAL FILES:

Transfer of medical file to another medical practice is $30.
